As you might expect, the game is over when you lose your last life. You lose lives when you take damage from enemies, fall or run out of time. To get additional lives, you must collect mushrooms and coins or defeat several enemies in a row.
Run through the realm and collect coins, or hit special bricks to receive special items and other powers. If you’ve never played Mario, you should definitely give it a try, as the game can be quite captivating. The game is so good and gamers love it so much that IGN has declared it the “greatest game of all time” back in 2005. Multiplayer in Super Mario means twice the fun! You, along with Luigi, play through the mystic Mushroom Kingdom the ultimate and difficult goal is to defeat the malevolent Bowser and rescue Princess Toadstool. You can also play in multiplayer and one of your friends controls Luigi, Mario’s brother. It was a simple game, but it is one of the most addictive and popular games in existence. Most of us spent days, weeks, even years playing Mario games in our childhood.

To hit the top of the flagpole, hole the run button down at the bottom, run, jump and hit the left edge of the fourth block, bounce to the top, run a bit on the top and then jump. You'll jump over a couple hills after this, and then come to a large hill right before the flag. The right block on the small platform is actually a star (pictured left), and the top question block of the pyramid is a power up. Just ahead, there is a small platform of two blocks, and four question blocks in a pyramid arrangement. The regular block below it is a coin block, so hit it until it's spent (pictured, right). Across the gap, there's a question block with a coin. Let the goombas drop down and hit it from below to claim your mushroom/flower. Just over the gap, you can spot another question block. Just to the right of this pipe is a hidden block with an extra life (pictured, right). This is the best route for speed runs, but the rest of us will probably want to stay above ground and claim some goodies. You can press down on the third one to reach a cache of coins and shortcut to the exit. Right at the beginning there's a few question blocks, one of which has your first mushroom (pictured, left), so nab it and get going.
